Azuls in Sacramento

Have you checked out Azul's in Sacramento? We ate there Saturday and it was awesome!

Sounds like it's time to expand you vocabulario and your appetite at the greatest new Mexican taqueria in Sacramento, Azul's! (that means 'blue' for all of you that didn't take Spanish in High School...)

Brothers and owners- Carlos & Jose Ulloa- came from the Mexican state Jalsico...never heard of it? Just know...it is home of the best tequilas in the world and these brothers are dedicated to serving up authentic dishes from age-old family recipes:

Lesson numero uno: Order the 'Azul Burrito' (homemade tortilla, authentically seasoned and grilled skirt steak, sweet & spicy homemade salsa and the regular fixings, beans and rice done right!

Lesson numero dos: Order a 'Paloma' This tequila-based cocktail is the number one choice from the brother's hometown Jalisco. Made with Silver Tequila, lime, citrus soda, lime wedge and a pinch of salt...this cocktail shouts 'margaritas are for sissies!' Warning: you taste the tequila in this one!

And...what's even more exciting? Just in time for summer, Azul's will have their liquor license and will be moving the party outside! That's right...get ready for palomas on Sacramento's best outdoor patio! (according to us)
