Bodies Revealed Controversy in Sacramento

Bodies Revealed Controversy: "Donated" Bodies actually Executed Prisoners?!

We visited the Bodies Revealed 'exhibit' a month ago and wondered, who in their right mind would knowingly donate their bodies to science to be posed and displayed in such positions...guess others were thinking the same thing and decided to do some investigating as to the SOURCE of these human bodies...

In an ABC News 20/20 special that aired over the weekend, the source of these human bodies was investigated.

Premier Exhibitions, which brought the "Bodies Revealed" show to Sacramento and who is making millions off of these exhibits, claims that all the corpses come from individuals who either donated their bodies to medical science or come from unclaimed or unidentified bodies provided by a medical university in the Chinese city of Dalian.

20/20 reporter Brian Ross travelled to China to speak to the president of the medical university that Premier Exhibitions claims to have gotten some of their bodies from and was told, "They don't give any bodies, they say, to anybody connected with putting them on display in the United States. They don't know about Premier Exhibitions." Shady...

Ross told News10 last week that he found evidence that at least some of the bodies are those of executed prisoners!

Gross and double gross.

Even IF these bodies were 'unclaimed' or 'unidentifed' does it give this company the right to claim them and use them for their shows?? Not really sure how I feel about this...
