BARWEST Opens: Life in a Fish Bowl
Let’s clear up a few clichés: Absence doesn’t actually make the heart grow fonder, and time really doesn’t heal all wounds.
You know this because he’s been gone for weeks and you’re still mad as hell.
You’re done trying to forgive (it always ends up in midnight surveillance). So on to trying to forget.
Your first stop – BARWEST – to share a fish bowl with your friends.
BARWEST owners, Trevor Shults and Todd Zancaner, put their 64-ounce solution to your problems on the bamboo bar in front of you – and suddenly you’re thinking about him 64 ounces less. The best wings in town. This beach bar meets speakeasy offers eight different sauces and five levels of “heat” (and you’re all for turning up the temperature).
An extensive selection of hot dogs and a deep-fried Ding Dong (no puns intended).
A frozen Lynchburg Honey Lemonade and 14 beers on tap – to wash down the fish bowl of course.
Custom leather high-top booths, a tufted red velvet wall, crocodile, exposed brick, a large glass garage door opening up to the patio, 15 flat-screens (with DirectTV and NFL Ticket) and a digital jukebox.
The next day – you sort of regret the calories you emotionally consumed but you haven’t had that much fun in weeks. Above all else, you’re glad you left your false lashes attached to your lids because you’re headed back to BARWEST for brunch.
And that’s your life – in a fish bowl.
