Eat Like a Kid Again

August 16, 2010

Cafe Capricho Opens: Mex and the City

It’s been a good month (and 62 erased photos) since that incident with your Three Amigos: Juan, Tequila and Cabo. Needless to say, you’re feeling the itch for some Mexican flavor again.

Bust out your El Squid Roe t-shirt (wait, how did you win that again?) – Café Capricho opens in East Sacramento.

Enjoy a menu that successfully blends American comfort and Mexican cantina. The traditional crispy tacos (fried fish taco, on a bed of shredded red cabbage) and the Jack Burger with bacon don’t disappoint. Try the stuffed poblano peppers (with meat or vegetarian style) if you like it spicy.

Of course there are the Mexican classics if you wanna play it safe: enchiladas, burritos, tacos, and quesadillas, plus bottomless freebie chips and salsa.

The decor is ecletic and welcoming: neon Dia de Los Muertos paintings and skateboards adorn the walls, and floor–to-ceiling windows promote healthy people-watching. In the mood for reminiscing? Grab a beer and an outdoor patio seat and let the stories flow freely.

Café Hours: Sun-Wed 11am-9pm; Thurs-Sat 11am-10pm

Café Capricho; 3269 Folsom Blvd., Sacramento; (916) 457.3916
