Coconut Pool & Bar Opens: You Can Bet on It
Summer brings an abundance of unknowns. Where to eat. Where to sun. Where to get your cocktail on.
Fortunately, Thunder Valley Resort’s new Coconut Pool & Bar fits the bill as our new summer “it” destination. And now that it’s been spruced up with a gorgeous new spa, an 84,000 gallon pool, and sexy as heck cabanas and chaise lounge chairs – we don’t even have to shed our urban-sophisticate exterior when we race on over.
Before you drop all your chips on the roulette wheel, take a gander at the poolside Coconut bar: It’s as good as gold, and unlike the casino, if the pool and bar cleans you out -you’ll have a sun-kissed glow to show for it at the end of the trip.
In addition to the sparkling pool, the 3,500 square foot oasis rivals Vegas (without the awkward aftermath) with 250 plush lounge chairs, mammoth palms, poolside food and cocktail service. The pool club brings a bit of Vegas sparkle to Northern California — but we think the hot lifeguard on duty is the clincher for us.
During the day the cabanas around the pool can be rented Sun-Thurs for $150, on the weekends $200. And if you’re not staying at the resort–don’t fret. Non-hotel guests can use the pool, bar, locker rooms and sauna for a day use fee of $25.
Don’t hit the slots. Hit the pool.
