Lace: Dressed to Frill

Lace is lovely as dainty gloves during tea with Grammy.

Or as a racy thong for, well, not Grammy. But the prettiest lace incarnations we’ve seen this fall you can actually wear beyond the boudoir. (Finally.)

Girly, sexy, prim and proper. Lace, has been interpreted every which way this season on and off the runway. Lace it up like celebs Blake Lively, Sienna Miller and Scarlet Johansson, who keep lace young and fresh in sleek minis. Dressed up or down lace is a chic alternative to sequins and glitter if shine is just not your thing this party season.

There’s a time and a lace for everything: so don’t over do it on the froufrou. Wear one lace piece and accessorize minimally (think opposite of Madonna in the ‘80s). Whether you choose lace noir or light lace this feminine texture looks fabulous paired with denim skinnies or utilitarian cargos for a hardcore ’90s vibe or with nude heels and blazer for the ultimate ethereal aura.

From boudoir to boardroom to dance floor; dainty lace is the connecting thread.

Which is exactly what Grams appreciates about you.
