What: A district-wide holiday promotion that supports local businesses, galleries and performing arts, enjoy festivities for both kiddies and adults through the holiday season including: Santa’s Workshop at the MARRS Building every Saturday through Christmas, Sacramento Ballet’s The Nutcracker opening December 9th, and performances of Every Christmas Story Ever Told (and then some!) at Capital Stage.

When: This Holiday Season.

Where: Midtown Sacramento.

EAT: SactoMoFo

{ Food Fight. }

What: Join 8 Bay Area and over a dozen local food trucks, carts and other vendors for SactoMoFo (the Sacramento Mobile Food Organization) this Saturday! Stop by for lunch, stay for dinner, and score Santa photo opps for the little ones. Completely free to attend, but canned or packaged dry goods or new unwrapped toys are appreciated and will benefit the Sacramento Food Bank and the U.S. Marines Reserve’s Toys for Tots. 

When: Saturday, December 3rd; 11am - 6pm. Rain or shine.

ENTER: Gingerbread House Contest

What: Join the Old Sacramento Schoolhouse Museum for their festive and fun gingerbread house decorating contest this weekend! Open to kids and big kids alike, bring your decorated gingerbread masterpieces to the Museum this Friday and Saturday for judging. Winners will be announced on December 10th, houses will be on display through the 21st, then donated to children’s homes and hospitals in time for Christmas.

When: Friday, December 2nd & 3rd.
