Vino Volo Opens: Take to the Skies
Aviophobia: Fear of flying. Dizziness, cold sweats, panic at being stuck next a screaming baby. Sound familiar?
You’re in luck — Vino Volo just landed at the Sacramento International Airport to take the edge off.
Located at Gate A15, in the Southwest Terminal the wine bar/cafe/store is the newest addition to the SMF dining family. (Big sis is at the Delta gate A1).
Snag a cushy bar stool, if you can, but beware, it gets super crowded later in the evening. Sip a glass of vino, or try a flight before your flight. Current favorite is the Capital Wine Flight, featuring small pours of wines from the North Coast, Yolo and Amador counties.
Forgot a gift for the host at your destination? Pick her up a bottle, or two in the wine shop. . . hey, they’ve already cleared security!
Fill up on signature smoked salmon rolls, a plate of artisan cheeses or a brie and prosciutto sandwich. And if you can’t tear yourself away before the final boarding call, bartenders happily package up food to go. No airplane food for you!
Now Boarding!
Open Sunday–Friday: 10 a.m.–8 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.–6 p.m.
Vino Volo; Gate A15, Sacramento International Airport; (916) 920.8466
